7mary7.....I can put a KAKU up, point it, dither, route the cable to the ground, and be off the roof in about 10 minutes, using a birdog 3.0 and a kaku3 lnb, on average my 101 signal is at 99% my 99 is about 95% and my 103 is about 96%, one out of maybe 20 times i 'maybe' have to go redither it, but its normally because i did something wrong, lost count while turning the dither bolt due to phone ringing or some other distraction. Mary, why don't you explain to us all how you tune a KAKU, since your the expert. Oh, and on another note, if a kaku can't be tuned with a birdog..why does DirecTV recommend their installers use birdog meters?
