I was licensed in 73 when I was 18 in service. Had one of the best CW operators in the Coast Guard teach me enough code to get my license so we could run phone patches from a remote island in Alaska. Got out of service in 76, no money, went to work in cable (still no money!) and let it laspe. Relicensed in the early 90's while working in Miami.
I hope to be getting on low bands again soon. I just moved to where I have enough room for a decent antenna. (Time permitting!)

The end result of a socialist is the same as a communist. The communist is just in a hurry and has a gun.
