its been a while since i messed with SA2 , but the thermal i do recall, setting up your numbers in manuel mode, then flip it to thermal mode and when the temp heats up, it pumps it up 2 DB or so to make up for the heat loss in the coax, the variable eq was meant for the sweep guys to tweek and get a FLAT response using a reference (node,amp) on the sweep meter.. but SA did make a varible EQ to get rid of the midband hump depending on which version EQ u got and what u wanna control,, peace out, just dropping my 2 cents
