I think that's some of the most leftest garbage I've read in a long time.
"Just ask Adrienne Hudson, a single mother who says she was fired from her new job as a bus driver at First Transit in Oakland, Calif., when the company found out she had been convicted seven years earlier for welfare fraud."
Big f*%ken deal. Last I knew welfare fraud is a crime. My father was a welfare fraud investigator and put lots of those lying, cheating stealing, bastards in jail. Why should the lady above expect to work for the same people that she was convicted of stealing from?
What ever happened to if you can't do the time don't do the crime? In some cases your time doesn't end after your jail/fine is over.
Sorry you screwed up in the past but that was your choice wasn't it? If you are unable to find pass a background check you have 2 choices. Find a profession that does not require a background check or get a lawyer to see if you can have your record cleaned up.
Not down on you for past mistakes, Hell I was no angle in the past. Yeah you could be the greatest employee that had ever come down the pike. But the fact is you got a record and most CABLE companies are not going to hire you. It sucks and isn't fair but that's life and nowhere is it guaranteed that life is fair.
I do wish you luck in finding employment.
