I don't follow you Sky. What does having a army have to do with love and free will? The two purposes of having a army is for defense and waging war. I know first hand there is no love and free will in waging war, or serving in the army for defensive reasons.
Maybe your god has an army so he doesn't get his/her hands dirty.
