Read your contract that you signed, if it says they can hold $2000 for 12 months, and you signed it, then...yea. As for holding employee checks, they can't, but I know several small contractors that have their dispatchers as 'contract labor', so if thats the case, then yea, if they have a reason to hold it they can, now if you want to take it to the next level then contact the labor board they will assist you. Did you do cable, dish, or DTV?
