You misunderstand me. Ideally yes, the MSO will provide the VOD. But ultimately, as in the direction currently headed and already begun implementation, is the provider themselves providing the content and the subscriber picking and choosing. The MSO is just the means to the end and charge a pretty penny for doing nothing more than that. A profitable, no, scratch that, a VERY PROFITABLE venture for the MSO as they will make more than they are currently.
