Pay as you go is already here...VOD. Streaming is much the same but uses the customers equipment and no outlay from the provider. Since I started working fiber in '88, it has ALWAYS been the end goal to send programming via fiber on an ala cart basis. This is nothing new, just finally able to be implemented. But no, as I said before, cable co's aren't going anywhere fast.
