Look for the MSDS form that should give you all the information on safe and proper handling of the cable. If your contracting the MSO should have given you one if you are inhouse you should have all the MSDF paperwork readily available to any employee that wants to see it.

Myself I would make sure I wore gloves any time I handled the stuff. To keep your leather gloves from becoming saturated with the stuff you can pick up a bag of disposable cotton gloves at Home Depot or Lows for about 10 bucks.
