Re: Cost of Living in NYC vs Oklahoma

I work in the 5 boroughs of NYC but live on Long Island. Though the value of my house ( 5 bedrooms & 2.5 baths ) would get me only a studio in Manhattan, it's the taxes that kill us. My property is only 75 x 100 yet my taxes are $14,000. per year. The cost of living is out of control here.
