I remember a sheath footage job I did for time warner one time and if there was a 100 ft span with trunk and 2 feeders on it you got to bill 300 ft
that was when cable was cable and a splicer could make $5k for a 4 day work week
leave the motel at 7am go have breakfast, hit the yard at 8:30 for prints & parts, 1st cut at 10:00 am, in the bar by 4:00pm $1200.00 for the day.
That was the good old days in Cable
