I would add to that:
I installed CATV & left for the "better" money with sat.
I sold and installed Primestar and never expected to hear from a CATV customer. They were the main driver for sales. They hated their CATV company. They were also really pissed about No Line of Sight (NLOS).
I sold and installed Directv but watched DISH. Again many sales leads were CATV customers who wanted out.
My conclusion is that if CATV would just fix their plant and provide what they advertise they can still be a world beater.
Consider that unless you have a ..."clear LOS to the SW..." you are probably a CATV customer. I have been at this address for over twenty years and the local CATV company has never...NEVER!...asked for my business!
