Ever seen a dumb ass cable guy "taste" the voltage?
They connect the set top to an a/o and go to the cable closet where they lick each line until they find a live one; works ok but yuck!
Sat guys without toners are not sat guys for long.
And I have seen cable companies run dead dish sales where the cx gets a discount if they turn in their dish for destruction. Idiots! Even rival cable companies cut each others' drops. Go figure.
