Re: Satellite Guides?

Run from any Sat company. Until techs collectively strike to have a lot of these chargebacks eliminated. It is not worth the headache.1.)Non-Responders - Since very few people now have home phones, if they do it's internet phone hooked up to a modem like Comcast in the home office where there is no tv.).2.)SIN90's it should be illegal to not let the tech roll back on their service calls. We used to be able to roll back on them, they we're called "hot jobs" and you would get paid if was customer caused.but the HSP's decided this would be a good way to take contractors money.3.)FSR(Field Service Request)Why does it count against your Matrix when a customer calls into DTV to let someone know that the tech forgot his hammer..STUPID RULE!!4.)Lost Equipment - We used to be able to use the retailer site to check to see if a receiver was activated, now if it doesn't show in Siebel you can't get credit. The HSP's get credit as long as the reciever is activated with 90 days of receipt from DTV..more ways for them to take contractors money. There are a lot of good sub companies and HSP management offices but their are WAAYYY more bogus companies out there. The ability to chargeback for every little thing has ruined the Cable and Satellite business. Back in the day we use to make money hand over fist without having to fight for our money. Greed has taken over and the industry has lost a lot of talented Cabledawgs. A lot of people are against unions but if a union will help eliminate these bogus chargebacks then maybe that's the way to go.
