Goodsky, when you quoted me “If you are obligated don't you loose your free will?" and "If you loose your free will aren't you a slave?" And again, " So how can any religion/God be a obligation.”
You left out the last 3 sentences. The second I thinks makes my point,
“Moral or otherwise.
Shouldn't religion/god come from ones heart/soul naturally?
Not because your are under obligation.”
Your question: “ If you are given a gift out of love aren't you obligated out of love and respect to say thankyou?”
No your not obligated to say anything. Is it polite to say thank you? Yes, are you obligated no.
Now about your question about control. You posted the definition for the word( hope ) (wishing for an outcome conducive to ones desires.)
If you are hoping for something, then you are worried about the out come of something. If you are you worried about the outcome you don’t have control over it in the first place.
So why worry about things you don’t have control over? You can hope all you want it’s not going to change the outcome or what is meant to be.
I thought you would have picked up on what I was trying to convey. No it was not a defensive move on my part.
Ok your question about my statement/s " Why should I aspire to have more when I have all I need". Yet earlier you said. "If I were to loose it all I would still not desire anything".
The earlier quote was :” I am not wishing for anything, I desire nothing more than what I have. If I were to loose it all I would still not desire anything.”
Perhaps I should have stated like this. If I were to loose it all I would not worry about it.
As for you judging my words or me your statement seemed to be calling me a vegetable because I don’t worry about things and am content and happy with my life.
I’ll say it again “If being in a vegetative state is being happy with my life and my self, not aspiring for more than what is needed to live and not worrying about eternity. Then I proud to be a vegetable and I hope more people become one.”
