Goodsky,
He also said "When you realize how perfect everything is you will tilt your head back and laugh at the sky”
and “Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.”
Buddha is, was and never will be considered a god. He is/was a teacher.
He is simply a figure to look to for inspiration, focus and/or guidance.
When asked if he were a god, The Buddha said "No."
So they asked of him, "Than what, teacher, are you?"
To which he replied: "I am awake!"
Here's a few words on the subject taken from your teacher/s
Proverbs 17:22 A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Job 8:21 He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with shouti
Ecclesiastes 3:4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
Proverbs 15:13 A glad heart makes a cheerful face, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is crushed.
Proverbs 14:13 ESV / Even in laughter the heart may ache, and the end of joy may be grief.
Genesis 21:6 ESV / And Sarah said, “God has made laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh over me.”
