An Indian brave comes to his grandfather one night and asks him,
“Grandfather how did I get my name?”
His grandfather takes a long draw off his pipe and thinks for a moment then speaks.
“Well when your sister was born your father came out of the teepee and looked up at the night sky. The first thing he saw was the light of the full moon. So he named her Moon Beam.”
“But grandfather how did I get my name?” The young brave asked again.
The old man once again took a long draw off his pipe and thought again. Then began to speak once more. “Well I know that when your brother was born, your father came out of the teepee and the first thing he saw was the buffalo running across the plane. So he named him Running Buffalo.”
“But grandfather how did I get my name?!” The young brave asked again
With that the old man set his pipe aside and looked directly into the young brave’s eyes and said………
