If you double ring you opponents ringer you get 3 points. There are two different horseshoe games (that I know of) one where the first to a set score like 15 or 21 wins, the other is where you play 20 innings. Your 2 shoes count for your half of the inning. Then you add up the scores (like in baseball) to see who won. In case of a tie you play extra innings. Same scoring rules and 2 or 4 players for both. And yes beer is a must! BBQ keg'er even better! We usually have a buy in tournament with money awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
