I had some friends that lived in a Historical farm house in Centreville,Va. and it was part of the underground railroad.
In the house you could go from room to room, top and bottom floors without being seen, all the way to the basement and there were tunnels that went to 3 out buildings.
any work on the place had to be approved by the historical society, one of the guys great grand parents owned the place and it was passed thru the family
that was 15 years ago and I think the feds finally took it over and only have a caretaker there now
but the place was neat climbing thru the inside walls from room to room , floor to floor and crawling thru the tunnels
I will ask my brother in law what the name of the farm was, he was one of the persons living there and see if I can find photos
