I learned a long time ago PPC was the worse connector I ever used (but I will check out the newer ones) LRC are better but not as expensive as Gilbert. As technology gets more reliant on the reverse frequencies. Companies need to put money were it needs to be. It never fails spend millions on programing but make customers deal with what we as techs can give them.
One last thing for now on cleaning the center conductor should a splicer use a torch to warm the connector then use a small staging string to clean it or but the plastic cleaning tools
