In all these cases I recommand to cut the cable and install a new connector. And hope you select a good connector. Specially if the center conductor is damaged, this will cause all sort of problems later on.
And I hope you select a good connector. I wont tell you which to unstall, but been in this industry for over 50 years, I can tell you some stories on coaxial connector. Also I hope the had extention loop big enough when the first connectors were installed.
