REALLY!!! Who has money to run a month and a half??!! Most people are 1 weekly paycheck from being homeless. Most companies that say that they use the 6 week out policy to protect themselves is a company that doesn't know how to effectively run a business. The purpose of taking out a retainer and holding a last chack for 90 days, is to covers SIN90 chargebacks. If they are worried about damage claims they should have each techs carry their own general liabilty insurance. Techs are the backbone of Directv,Comcast,Time Warner,etc. If we continue to let these "pop up fly by night" sub companies and HSP continuously beat us down with these bullshit rules and constantly demand more and more from us yet drop the prices they pay us, we will never get ahead. Dispatchers do not generate income, Supervisors do not generate income, GM & CEO's do not generate income...TECHS ARE THE INCOME GENERATORS FOR ALL CABLE/SATELITE COMPANIES..without us there would be no Directv,DishNetwork,Comcast,Time Warner,etc. My dream is to see all techs in the US take a day off in solidarity and demand that the way these companies operate has to come to an end. If we all took just 1 day off do you realize how much money these companies would lose. 6 wks hold..bullshit.No one needs a job that bad.McDonald pay in week #2..No Chargbacks for mistakenly putting pickles on someones burger. LET TAKE A STAND!!
