Its funny that things like Christmas (now thought of as the birthday of Jesus) was once a germiac pagan holiday to celebrate the winter solstice. The date was changed by a Roman emporer to help assimalate the barbarian hords. This is the one example I know of, Im sure that there are others but cant help but wonder; for belivers; IF you get to the gates of heaven wont the god you believe in be a little pissed that you couldn't even get his birthday right? After all is he (why do they say HE, cant god be a SHE or an omnipitant being? ) not a vengefull god?
