In most cases sweep is now just being used as maintenance on a soon to be obsolete system (it's now done inhouse for TC's on a node) and will soon go the way of the VCR repairman. There's still some sweep work out there but it's fading fast. Sorry but you should have seen that coming. I did when systems started to hire me to train their inhouse personnel. If you don't already have one you might want to look into getting a fiber optic certification. Good luck.
