ESPN over $4 per sub (Not including Classic, News,

Almost all the video providers’ contracts state that if you were to serve less than 60% of your subs, the channel price would more than double!! We still run a 78 channel analog feed that we sell for $51. More than half of that goes to the channels for licensing, top this off with franchise fees, permit fees, pole rental, power costs, fuel and it all adds up to no profit. We figure we gross $19 per sub on a triple play subscriber. The Video providers have a strangle hold on the industry! Call your congress man! Of course they would give ESPN a tax break, and tax payer hand outs stating they would create jobs (which they wouldn’t). Allow ESPN to raise rates stating free market and when someone threatened to drop the channel they would threaten to bring in the National Guard and fine people for not being American enough to support the Koch brother, oh I mean ESPN. Just a Wisconsin point of view……
