whats it doing? not going up or down --left to right? There are small micro switches in the handle as well as in the box it attach's to. If it doesn't work from lower controls or the basket then it's not the joystick. We just fixed one on our ap 40, i believe there the same. It could also be a bad ground wire from the start/stop switch. We tried disconnecting the start/stop switch and learned that it is also grounded there.
You can call Altec and speek to tech. support and they will help you all they can. They went as far as to email me all the wiring specs to us.
