The post about companies getting paid a week after is not true.
More than likely, the company is getting paid bi-weekly if you are waiting 5 weeks. In which case everyone is always going to be a pay period behind, its the same for w2's as well. However, a company that gets paid bi-weekly should pay you the day they get paid.
