If it is designed right, it doesn't mattter what they are using...It will work fine. There isn't much loss difference as compared to .500. If it isn't overspaced, and everything is tight. Should work fine..I know it's not the correct way to fly...But, I guess you do what ya gotta do to survive. And what's the problem with AC on it?  If the power is spaced properly, it carries AC fine...Hell, I drive through some rural systems that have been tempted with the stuff for years, and it seems to be working fine...Personally, I would fix that shit as soon as possible but, I'm not the bean counter responsible for buying cable or scheduling the repair. I'm just the peon that keeps the entertainment and media, and data flowing.
