My god, It would take you 30 minutes to get up to CATV Strand level with one of those things.
You would fall and break your neck trying to get past telco, definely not good for joint use poles.
also what about the 120ft poles they use out west that are 32" wide at the base where i had to use a 8ft pole strap and a 4ft bridal to hitch hike the pole
It must have been a hourly rate guy that came up with that one, because it took him 2min 15sec to get to the 18ft mark and not taking into consideration how long he stood at the pole attaching the device to start with.
Back in my prime if it took more then 3 minutes to set bug nuts, recieve & swap the lasher, then dress the pole, I would be walking home that night, or riding in the back of the truck while the guys up front smoked the good shit & drank the cold beer and throwing their empties at you and calling you a bunch of names.
