Digital Network Site Assessment for Scientific Atlanta - Atlanta, GA

We are currently looking for talented individuals to join our Network and Operations Assessment team.

Primary Responsibilities

· Conduct CATV interactive network assessment including IP and DAVIC connectivity

· Conduct CATV interactive network performance, traffic and load analysis

· Collect, analyze network data and baseline customer CATV interactive network

· Perform RF measurement to assess customer system configurations

· Interact with customers to arrange and to inform of tasks to be done at their sites

· Develop process and procedure for CATV network performance and analysis


Position requirements

· HS Diploma with CATV experience - BSEE, BSCS, BS CmpE preferred

· Knowledge of RF measurement is required (Spectrum Analyzer)

· Strong background in networking is required (IP Address, Subnettting, LAN/WAN UNIX/Solaris/LINUX)

· Experience with Scientific Atlanta Digital Broadband Delivery System (DBDS)

· Unix shell command and scripting experience are helpful

· Perl scripting, database and Structure Query Language (SQL) experience are helpful

· Desire to work in a development engineering environment where interchange of ideas is encouraged

· Excellent written an oral presentation skills

· Excellent organization skills

· Willingness to learn and to teach

· 40% travel is required
