I thought it was only me. Of all the things one could do to assure a trouble free installation I think that using drop boxes would be my first choice. Next might be conduit for underground lines.

The fitting thing just smelled bad. I never heard or a saw a reason for the change. There are many good compression style fittings. Did someone actually teas them all? Was there a problem with the "F" fittings?

I just see a money motivation.
