Gifts should not be something that is house work related! My EX bought me a mop and broom set for Christmas one year... we'd been married about 10 years. When I asked why a mop, he said "because you didn't have one?" Like he hadn't seen me 9 months pregnant scrubbing kitchen floor on my hands and knees? Seriously, I still don't own a mop (I prefer to scrub floors, then, I know they are "clean enough to eat off") and he still walks funny (I don't think they got all of the mop handle out?)
