Bible says God doesn't want you to perish. That is why He provided a way to Him. Being a just God, He can not allow sin to enter the kingdom of heaven. Had He not provided that way, ALL would perish, because the Bible tells us "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God". If you live your life in an upstanding way, doing good your whole life, never having been convicted of anything, then you find your wife in bed with another man, loose your temper, kill them both, and get arrested, do you think the judge will not punish you for murder because other than that you have lived a "good" life? God loves you enough that He allowed His only Son to lay down His life for you. It's your decision where you spend eternity, not God's. He has left that up to you. Don't know what the Gregorian Monks believe exactly. I'll research it later, but if they reject God's plan for salvation, then yes, that is exactly what will happen. Don't know if it will be in a handbasket though. That is what I believe. I respect your right to feel otherwise, so please don't take this as me thinking I am anything more than what I am, and that is a sinner saved by grace. No better than you, in fact when it comes to the flesh, maybe worse. I am not putting you down, nor judging you. Just sharing what I have come to believe. You have a great day.
