Hey Splicer, How's the weekend going?
Any way you could see your way clear to give a guy a little room for "working out his salvation"? About Gary I mean, can you give him a little slack instead of jumping on his every inconsistency, if indeed that's what it is. Maybe he has to you in your perception before and you feel like he has it coming, but I'd like to hear from both of you if at all possible.
I mentioned in an earlier post that sometimes people just have a different understanding of the same term. I'm trying to play catch up a bit with you guys on this on-going dispute. I don't normally jump into public forums but this one, for some reason, I couldn't just click away. I think I can feel where Gary is coming from, I don't entirely agree but I'm willing to let the differences slide so I can attempt to "be at peace with all men". Just check some of my posts to see what I mean.
I'd like to know, it seems that you are like me to the extent that you believe some of the bible is true or at least profitable; what do you think the whole being "born again" is about? Do you think Jesus actually said that or do you have some issues with authenticity, which I can certainly understand? If you think he said it, what does it mean to you? I'm not asking so I can debate the point, I would just like to know. I can't find common ground with someone if I don't know where they are standing. I think your answer will shed a ton of light on why there is so much dispute, maybe I'm wrong, hope not though.
Let's give Splicer here some room too guys, before lowering the proverbial hellfire and brimstone judgment and talking about someone's supposed ignorance. I really want to know and we just might all learn something here
How about it? real conversation, real discussion? No attacks, no scripture quotes, just personal sharing of where we are spiritually? Anybody game?
Have a great weekend Splicer.
