Re: Loving the Dark

It was something someone posted in another thread. Actually several threads. He informed me you're to use capitalization when referring to God, (ie...He, Him, etc...) and I do when using my own words, only out of reverence, not because God expects it,  but when sharing scripture I copy  it exactly as it is, punctuation and all.

Like I said, a form of legalism that so many like to hold on to, instead of wrapping their hearts around what scripture tells us, and that is salvation is by grace through faith. Not works, nothing you can do to add to it, nothing to earn God's favor.

Don't get me wrong, works are a by-product of faith, for James tell us faith without works is dead, meaning when one lives in faith, they will naturally produce works as part of their walk with the Lord. The only thing one "does" is accept the gift of God's grace and the salvation He provided through His Son's death and resurrection as a propitiation for our sin.

I've been sharing scripture, and what the Spirit lays on my heart, for a couple years now, and it is only recently that the antagonists have joined in and it has turned into what it has, but I welcome it, as it means God's Word is being read, and it very well could be that is all the scripture they are getting, but at least it's something for the Spirit to work with.

It's not the believer they are rejecting, it's God Word they reject. I have been guilty of letting the enemy get me out of the Spirit and into the flesh with some of my responses, and I truly regret it, as it becomes a stumbling block to those looking for a reason to cry out hypocrisy, and use it for a reason to refute God, as they don't understand God's grace, mercy, and the fact that a Christian never reaches perfection on this side of eternity, and that they have a mediator in Christ who is faithful to forgive our sins when we confess in our heart our transgressions.

Sorry for rambling, but I really find it to be the most important aspect of life and take it VERY seriously.
It breaks my heart to know that there are many who will reject God and choose an eternity of separation in a place not created for man to begin with, but for Satan and the fallen angels. A place of torment and sorrow.
I realize all have a right to believe what they want, but it doesn't change the fact that when the wrong decision is made, there are consequences. People make decisions every day that they truly felt was the right decision, only to find they had made a terrible mistake. Only thing is, these consequences last an eternity. The thing is, God's ways are not grievous, they just go against the nature of our sinful flesh, and man tends to choose that which is tangible, like sin, instead of turning their heart to God.
