In my case I asked for a copy of the contract to review. The guy at Emerald was "out...being printed,,get ya one soonest". Then I got a call to meet a guy to get some boxes and eq for a job with more jobs faxed. Then one of the office guys mentioned.."You do know you will be charged of any of these customers call Directv about this?"
I had been sent a route another DirectSatUSA tech had worked the day before. There were complaints at each stop and I said I wasn't going to rebuild installations for service call money. In fact I had not even agreed to do service calls.
He said there was nothing about much in the contract...all the rules were on a bulletin board I had never seen. So at that point I told them to send a contract for inspection and pay me for everything I had done before we go further.
It went on like that. The best quote was..."if I let people know all the things that could happen nobody would do this stuff..." Well, that is the point, right?
It goes like that sometimes.
