John as a buddhist you should know that there are two forms of jealousy. There is the sinfull jealousy in which you are jealous of what another man has, and lust to have it. Then there's righteous jealousy where you are protecting what is yours. In Gods case in the old testament He is saying He will protect the nation of Israel (His wife) from spiritual seduction. In the new testament He is protecting His followers (His children) from the same. There's your answer. Do with it what you will.
