This is where I think we are at!
I originally installed as a Primestar switch from Falcon Cable. Then the same address was converted to Directv using "F" connectors. Then the same customer had the local HSP in for an upgrade to HD with a slimlilne. He lost signal for a long time after rain but never had that problem in the prior fifteen years. The fix was to compress most of the outside fittings that had been changed out..but not compressed.
And I read that there is a little QC scam about flunking jobs with no P 10 cable.
Just because it ain't broke is no excuse for not fixing it!
