Anybody have some technical analysis that supports the compression over the "F" fitting?
The Chinese "F" fittings with the gel & "O" ring are about $.09 and work great in the hands of a competent tech. I am not talking about the hacks with the pliers. The compression fittings Directv uses only work at all if the tech compresses them... They look good and work fine... BUT:
They cost almost three times as much. Contractors were invited to eat this cost along with all the others.
So are they worth the money?
