Back in the day we used to get a couple of Canadian stations (one of them on VHF ch 2) here in Olympia via a 30' tall parabolic reflector. That antenna sure could pick up the noise too. Found the best way to track the exact source of the noise was to whack the suspected pole with a big old sledge hammer. If the noise changed, you found the right one.
