That depends on where your TRUST is.
There is nothing wrong with putting money aside in case of emergencies, (that is called being a good steward)
but are you trusting that God will provide for your needs, or are you trusting in the money that you have aside?  Could not your emergency excede your readiness? Are you worried that there may be an emergency?
I can tell you, in my case, of when I used all my savings to purchace a house for cash,and then the house caught fire (with no insurance) that God has provided me with the means to do the repairs needed to my home and I had NO money put aside at the time.
I could also tell you of many times when I had an important bill due,and had no idea how I was going to pay, that I just happened to receive an unexpected check in the mail just when I needed it.
Personally, I trust that God will provide me with the money that I need to face any emergency more than any amount of money will get me through any emergency that I might face.
With God all things are possible
