As I read Psalms 107 1-43 and I noticed that the Psalmist repeated some things over and over. The first thing that he said was found in V-1 "O Give thanks unto the Lord," the reason being "for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever." Then he says because of that V-2 "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so," So we are told to give thanks to the Lord because of what He has done for us. Why? Because we should be thankful that others may hear so that they may find Him dear to their life as the redeemed has. In Verses 6,13,19,28 "Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble" and each time the Lord delivered them out of their distress.
Trouble will come to us all, is that not where we learn? The trouble came and then they cried out unto the Lord. Had no trouble came into their lives then there would have never been a need to cry unto the Lord. When trouble comes into mine and your life it is not time to get discouraged but time to pray. When was the last time you "cried unto the Lord?" He hears and responds to the cry of His children that is why the Redeemed can say so! Did I ever tell you about....and how the Lord delivered. There was a time when all looked hopeless, and the Lord...... Has anyone heard you talking like that lately?
