I had a good one out In Sedona Az in 1980 , sent there to rebuild Flagstaff and Sedona. Was doing a walk out one day and opened some peds, low a behold there was strand and bug nuts and lashing wire in the ped (with a tap on it). called one of the system techs out to explain this, well I guess the guy who built it back in the 60s built it from wrecked out cable from Flagstaff, when the trench was open he'd throw this in. Needless to say the cable would desinagrate (sp) into a powder. also had open wire going up Oak Canyon. When the big shots from TWC bought this they never really looked at anything all they did was Party in Sedona , alot of heads rolled.
