Yeah there are some good and bad things about class action lawsuits.
Yes, they take a long time. But depending on how big the lawsuit is and how much damages you have, how many parties are involved and people paying the retainers all play a factor.
Usually lawsuits like this goes to arbitration, if it went to trail, I personally think it would be better (have 12 average people seeing how we are being taking advantage of and just trying to make a living to support our families. I think they would side with us than these big corporate companies stepping on the little people).
Yes the lawyers make a killing off of it (typical 30-40% they collect if they are going off of a contingency) But other factors play a part (how much retainer you put down, helping with research, etc..)
Then course the conditions of the arbitration. The binding conditions of the outcome between the parties for appeals, etc.
