Get yourself a Hilti Demolition Hammer with a Ground Rod Attachment, a 4" grinder and a decent generator set the Hilti to drive/drill
take the grinder and grind a 45deg chisel point on the end of the GR and go to town, the mso can also order a special GR that is Copper clad hardened steel with a
star point on the end that will go thru granit, but they are about $20.00 a pop so you can rule that one out when they can backcharge you $100.00 per missed location for a $14.00 GR, and also keep plenty of water around, not for you to drink Duh, pour it in the hole around the GR it provides lubercation.
Then when all else fails use the grinder to cut off & dress the GR
