TDR the cable to see if you have a squashed signature first CLI it for leakage Spectrum for noise ingress mitigation and sweep it all of these should give you the info you need to make an educated decision on wether you should replace or splice out of all the things here leakage from a squashed cable can give you digital breakup check your constelation BER Quam etc
