If you're in it to make enough money to be "set for life", you'd better get out now. Most of us are in it because we love the work, the travel, the escape from the mundane daily duties of the desk jockey, and most of the time the money is right. But there are many occaisions were the contractor gets in with the wrong company and ends up getting screwed out of thousands of dollars. I would recommend getting in with a well-established, reputable company and track your pay. The second you don't get paid what you billed for, raise hell. Watch out for chargebacks. Get everything spelled out for you in your contract.
