(AP,UP) February 13,2001: The new millenium has brought a new railway to help aleviate the daily congestion of our lives and minds, in CableLand. The citizens will now have a way to bring all of the materials into town, needed to build the growing communities cable television service. In addition, passenger service has been bidded on by, and approved for, LGB's AmTrak Hi-Speed Passenger Service. These sleek, quiet trains are real eye-catchers. Ground breaking for the new railway will commence a soon as the weathe in CableLand permits. To compliment the new railway, and to bring additional revenue into CableLand, the town council has voted, and in a VERY close heat,(the votes were re-counted THREE times to ensure everyones vote was counted, including the mail-in ballots, afte protesters nearly closed the downtown area), and with a final decision of 3-2, CableLand will build a new NASCAR raceway (hopefully to scale). Projected groundbreaking will be later this year in the fall. CableLand Railways is expected to win the bid on the shipping/material handling for the new race track, which, coincidently enough, will be named 'CableLand Raceway'.
