The situation you describe is a one person operation provided you are using a trailer to haul it and not trying to load and unload from the bed of a truck. ( safety first )

As for your choice of machine I don't have any issue with them other than the price of parts and the general lack of a near by service and parts center.

I switched to getting parts sent to me from ditch witch of the Carolina's as they have great service, I may pay a little more for shipping but hands down they are the best folks to work with when you need parts. They overnighted me an engine a few years back with no problems what so ever.

 I own 15 Sx-100's and a couple of 255's and 410's as well as some larger ones. I have one Vermeer SP-15 and it's crap compared to the ditch witch's. Most will tell you the 255 is best used as a boat anchor, but I have had no issue's.
