HSP = Home Service Provider............in theory an independent subcontractor who provides installation services for Directv by distributing installation work to interested subcontractors.
O/O = Owner Operator.......as the lawsuits and public embarrassment mounted the HSPs were / are being dismissed in favor of an OWNER OPERATOR model where employees of Directv do the installations.
FSP = unknown...anyone?
ASP = Alternate Service Provider...when the HSPs fall behind an alternative group is invited in to augment the fucked up efforts of the HSP. In some areas nobody will work for satellite companies so ASP runs adds (here) for "road crews" and "traveling techs" to do quick, dirty installs to get the numbers up.
